We were very saddened to hear of the tradegy involving Vladimir, Irina
and Ilya. Our group is preparing to leave on Jan. 27, 2000 to climb the
East Glacier Route on Orizaba and will bring with us a memorial to leave
either at Piedera Grande or the Summit. We were especially touched as
we have, many times, walked the ground where the accident occured.
Please send our condolences to all of the family members. We will, this
trip, tread with much introspection on those hallowed slopes.
